The Albatross here with a morsel. Mr. Arrowsmith’s musical notes made an appearance on a nationally and internationally syndicated radio show called “A World Of Possibilities.” It’s a topical program, the current one on oil in West Africa. Well, they played a good chunk of his song “The Oil Fields” from his most recent album The History Of Fishes. This is why it’s a good idea to google yourself (Alex in particular)–you find weird tidbits like this. Click here to listen to it — it’s at 29:00 into the program.
Alex is again featured in this year’s MHCC literary journal, Perceptions. His songs “Engulf The Manatee” and “New Times And Fire Road” are on the accompanying CD. He also played a short set at the reception at the Edgefield last Thursday. Here’s what went down:
Engulf The Manatee, I Am The Ice Age, Coldplay Got Eaten By Piranhas, I Can Kill My Enemies With My Mind
Alex has started programming the tubs for the new album, too. Boy, are those some hot MIDI tracks. Blazin. Oh oops you’re not supposed to know that the drums are fake. Don’t worry, the tambo-urines are real.
Allergic,
The Albatross
