I found out just a couple of days ago that The Today Show used “Fondue” (from 2002′s A Bunch of Songs) during a segment on… fondue. It was broadcast on February 28, but I just found out about it (from my ASCAP statement). I can’t believe AL ROKER has heard my velvety 19-year-old vocals! I’ve really made it now. I should be touring with FEIST.
So the lesson to be learned is: write songs about obscure nouns.
Well, actually, fondue isn’t even that obscure. I don’t know why no one else has written songs about it. It’s freaking delicious.
